Alessandra Brito is a PhD candidate and holds a Master’s degree in Social Communication from UFMG, where she is also a member of the Poéticas da Experiência research group. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from UFT. Alessandra has been a part of the curatorial teams for FestCurtasBH, the Belo Horizonte Black Film Week, Mostra Cinema dos Quilombos, and Mostra Sesc de Cinema. She writes about films and has published texts in books, catalogs, and magazines. Currently, she is involved with the artistic and pedagogical coordination of the Audiovisual Area at the Escola Livre de Artes Arena da Cultura.
