Hoda discovers she is pregnant, and the experience of involuntary motherhood as an Iranian refugee in exile in Germany, pushes her to confront her deepest desires. Her mother and her partner struggle to grasp the complex emotions of a woman who reclaims her body —often seen as sacred and miraculous—as a territory for contemplating Eros, the primal yet repressed force of life. Nevertheless, Hoda continues to explore and unravel these questions with her hands. The daily lust becomes the source of the world. (Juliana Gusman)
