Gabriel Araújo

Born in Minas Gerais, he holds a degree in Social Communication from UFMG and works as a journalist, film programmer, and critic. He is a co-founder of INDETERMINAÇÕES, a platform dedicated to Brazilian Black cinema and criticism, and of the Mocambo Cineclub. Also serves as a curator for the teams of FestCurtasBH, LONA — Cinema and Territories Showcase, and the INDETERMINAÇÕES Session, a program at the IMS (Instituto Moreira Salles), among other festivals. Gabriel is a reporter for Folha de S.Paulo and co-author of Vidas Inteiras: Histórias dos 10 anos da Lei de Cotas (Whole Lives: Stories from 10 Years of the Quota Law, Crivo Editorial, 2023).
