Pedro Vaz Perez holds a PhD in History and Politics from the Postgraduate Program in Cinema and Audiovisual (PPGCine) at UFF. He also earned a master’s degree from the Postgraduate Program in Social Communication at PUC Minas and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the same institution. Currently, he serves as a professor and coordinator of the Cinema and Audiovisual course at PUC Minas, and he is a Curatorial Board member of the Centro de Estudos Cinematográficos de Minas Gerais (CEC-MG) [Minas Gerais Center for Cinematographic Studies (CEC- MG)].
