Between the 1930s and 1940s, a Scottish missionary filmed the beauty of Palestine’s wildflowers. Between 2023 and 2024, Theo Panagopoulos searched the edges of this archive for images – equally rebellious and beautiful – of a free people. The ongoing genocide casts its shadow, from off-screen and from another time, over the vivid colors of a dead land. (Juliana Gusman)
