Marta, a middle-aged Black woman, lives alone, immersed in the scientific universe of botany. A visit from the elderly Diná pulls Marta out of her safe shell, opening a rift through which traumas begin to surface. Marta confronts her ancestry, whose strength emerges as a possibility for healing, despite the pain. The director constructs the narrative through a set of performances that masterfully unveil the characters’ ambiguities and contradictions. (Bruno Hilário)
