Azucena Losana was born in Mexico City in 1977 and currently lives and works between Mexico City and Buenos Aires. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Arts from the National University of the Arts (UNA) in Argentina. She also holds a diploma in Audiovisual Preservation and Restoration (DIPRA), offered by the Film Archive and the National Image of Argentina (CINAIN) and the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). She also attended Claudio Caldini’s experimental film workshop. Her work focuses on experimental films, installations, and video art. She received a grant for the Art Creators National System Program (SNCA) from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA) in Mexico, and for the 2021 Flaherty Seminar.

Affonso Uchôa is a filmmaker. He directed the films Mulher à Tarde (2010), A Vizinhança Do Tigre (2014), and Sete Anos em Maio (2019), and served as co-director of the film Arábia (2017). His films have been screened at various festivals around the world, including the International Film Festival Rotterdam (Netherlands), Viennale (Austria), Toronto International Film Festival (Canada), Visions du Réel (Switzerland), Tiradentes Film Festival (Brazil), and Mar del Plata International Film Festival (Argentina). 

Carla Italiano is a film researcher and curator of exhibitions and festivals. With a PhD in Social Communication from PPGCOM-UFMG, she serves as an annual member of the programming teams for  Olhar de Cinema/Curitiba Film Festival, FENDA – Experimental Film Arts Festival, and is part of the organizing collective for forumdoc.bh – Belo Horizonte’s Documentary and Ethnographic Film Festival. Her curatorial work includes the exhibitions “Mulheres Mágicas – Reinvenções da bruxa no cinema” (CCBB), “El Camino – Cinema de viagem da América do Sul” (CCBB). She is from Recife and currently resides in Belo Horizonte.

Glaura Cardoso Vale is an editorial producer and essayist. She conducts research, teaches and develops extension activities in the fields of Communication, Cinema, Audiovisual Arts, and Narrative Studies. She is a member of the collectiveFilmes de Quintal and a collaborator with forumdoc.bh since 2003. She has also participated in  the programming and organization teams of FestCurtasBH (2017-2024), Belo Horizonte Black Film Week (2021-2024), and the Arab Women’s Film Festival (2022-2023). Glaura is co-editor of Vai e Vem – film magazine, No. 1, published by Unimed-BH Minas Cultural Center and the author of A mise-en-film da fotografia no documentário brasileiro e um ensaio avulso (1st Ed. 2016; 2nd Ed. 2020, Relicário Edições/Filmes de Quintal publisher).
